Greetings. I am just at the end of week 11 of my beard journey. Got up in the morning around week 10 was extra critical of my beard that morning. Its growing longer on one side, the sides are curly and out of control. Was thinking this isn't going well. Then I remembered from a beards-men's video: if you are thinking of cutting at your beard, PUT THE SCISSORS DOWN AND WAIT A WEEK. So I did. After that I became super beard aware. Sort of like when a friend buys a new car from a company you are not familiar with and you suddenly see that car everywhere. That day I noticed a couple of things. First I noticed that for a full beard to coalesce all of the hairs from the cheeks down to the chin have to all get to the same length. So with that in mind and realized that probably won't happen for me for about six months. So I will return to being patient. Second after really looking at beards, a lot of beards, i realized that virtually every beard is completely unique. Almost like a finger print. So not only am a growing a beard, I am growing my beard that is a completely unique expression of myself.
So lesson learned. Now at week eleven my beard is starting to leave my face as it were. I have been experimenting with all of the Beardbrand products I have purchased and have come up with combination of them that controls my beard the way I want it to look. Thank you Beardbrand for all of the amazing videos. I have learned a lot.
I put this probably too long missive out there for anyone who reached this stage of beard growth.
Keep on growing and Beard on!
