Man that is one awesome beard!

Frankly to me it looks absolutely fine as it is, but I take it you want the hair to be straight?

The softer your hair is the more likely it is to hang straight. So my first thought is do you Co-Wash it daily? (Use a conditioner/softener each morning) I use Beardbrand softener. Only shampoo wash it one or at most twice a week.

You can use a beard balm after co washing. I have found that a normal utility balm gives it some hold, but a styling balm does give a great hold. So you can straighten the hair our with a brush or comb after applying the balm and it will hold for a long time.

And of course you can also blow dry it after applying product using a brush to straighten out the hair.

Another tip I found is that during the day don't use a comb. A comb tends to give my beard even more volume and this makes the curls come out. Use a brush and only gently over the surface. This will keep your beard more compact and reduce the affect of the curls/waves in it.

My beard hair at the sides is really curly, and I've tried to groom it straight using a combination of the above techniques, but after months decided it wasn't worth all the effort and time. So I decided to love it as it is. And frankly I'm a happier beardsman.
