You should 100% let it grow. The cheeks and those "connectors" are always the last to fill in. From nothing to a full beard normally takes 3 - 4 months WITHOUT touching it. Patience is your best friend in this situation. Unfortunately, the "awkward patchy" phase is unavoidable. You will have to face it sooner or later, so why not go for it now!

In the even that a few months goes by and you haven't seen results, it MIGHT have something to do with your age. Personally, I wasn't able to realize a full beard until I was 21/22. Somewhere around there.

But judging by what you're able to grow, from these photos, I think you're in good shape for it to fill in. Only time will tell, my friend! Just don't shave! Make sure you pick up some beard oils to help you through the process.

What you have there right now is a stylish short beard and if you wanted to leave it like that it would look just fine. But I'd suggest you grow it out for a few more months and my bet is you'll have a kick-ass beard.

I've been growing my beard for nine months now (going for a yeard) and there have been at least three times during those months I haven't been happy with what I saw when I looked in the mirror. But time and length have solved all those problems for me.

    So let it grow!
