You can see the differences in curly and more straight. Along with under my chin. The hair likes the curl under my jaw line towards my throat. My hair is super soft as well. Not the typical wirey hair beard.

    Cody,

Your beard is looking really good bro.  I don't think the "hole" is something that anyone but you notices. I am no expert, I just started growing mine in November 2016 and I had trimmed it twice and messed up the neckline before I found beardbrand lol. Anyways I am interested to see what the OG beardsman  have to say  but from my perspective your beard is looking right dude. Cheers.

I'm not noticing any issues with your beard either. In fact you have a pretty epic beard IMO. I would stick with what you are already doing.

Thanks guys the epic looking beard combs with lots of combing under a hair dryer and beard balm. If I don't do that then it's curly in every direction possible and curls under my jawline

And like I said it could be because my under neck hair isn't as long so nothing for the other hair to lay on.

Parker that's funny. I'm super meticulous when it comes to styling. I guess you'd have to see it completely wet to see how curly it is. Thanks for the positive comment though. Maybe I'm too OCD is why.

I agree, Cody.  A photo of it when you have not styled it may give us a better idea of what you think your issues might be.  Your beard looks great to me.  I also have issues with what to do with the underside of my beard, but , as mentioned above, you are likely the only person to notice anything going on under there.  I do not need to blow dry or straighten my beard, so on that I cannot recommend anything.  I comb mine and just sort of let it flow the way it grows. For my face, my beard seems to like to be combed slightly backward toward my jaw/ears. For four months growth, your beard actually is very nice.

I say keep doing what you're doing. I think I like it combed down and forward. If it's getting to "pointy" or messing with your neck too much, then perhaps trimming the length down a little and maintaining that would be best. With a great beard comes great responsibility. Regardless, with your beard, you can't go wrong!

Thanks Keith. I'm at the point in deciding how much balm or oil to use in order to cover the entire beard. When my beard is pushed against in anyway it'll move and form a new shape. My barber told me he's never seen facial hair like mine in terms of how soft and not wirey at all.

I know exactly what you're going through. My beard is even more curly and wavy than yours when wet and I have to blow dry it daily to get it straight. It is a pain but it is what it is. Your beard looks good when finished! Keep it up.

What ever you are doing looks great.  I've been growing for 45 years and I can tell you the only wrong look is shaved.  You could just leave it along and have an epic curly beard, very original look that few could duplicate.  Or use a hair dryer and comb a little forward.  Change it around  as your time and mood allows.

    Hi Man!

I agree with everyone else your beard looks awesome! And after only six months!

My beard looks much worse after a shower. It takes me fifteen minutes to get it together.

I did the same thing with shaving my neck line wrong, but just let it grow out and it will be fine.
