G'day from Canada! A bit of an intro:

I'm a 29 year old french dude with three kids (It totally matters! lol). I've just pushed past my first month of growth and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I've always chickened out before making it to the three month mark, so I thought it wise to join a community like this to help me push through!

My goal: To wear as long a beard as I can reasonably handle. To keep my face warm during the Canadian winter and rock the old (not so old) farmer look during the warm season.

    Cheers!

    Hey friends,

My name is Mike and I'm about 6 weeks into my first full beard at 52 years old. I've had a short trimmed goatee for years, and I'm really glad my wife encouraged me to go for the full beard...I'm digin' it! Lots of compliments so far. I found the Beardbrand YouTube channel, and I'm loving it. I really appreciate everything you all have put into it. The information is amazing. I did go a little bonkers ordering Beardbrand stuff, but I'm sure I'll  be glad I did when it arrives in a few days.

So I have to tell you all the funniest thing I've discovered so far with my beard. I have a pet pig named Penelope...she loves it. She loves to cuddle on the couch with my wife and I at night, and now I can't keep her nose out of my beard!

Anyway, thanks in advance for all the information and please excuse all the dumb questions I'm gonna ask. I'm a noob!

So I’ve been really surprised by everyone’s response at work. Everyone has been very positive about my new beard. I’m really digging this thing! I did make a few rookie mistakes, but I’m learning.

Hello everyone, I'm Vinay and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. I recently (2 months ago) started growing my beard, something I've wanted to do for a very long time, but have always worried about the different directions the hair grows. Plus, I've always worked in professional environments that were not happy with facial hair. But, I turned 40 and decided I was going to go ahead and grow no matter what. My mug shot is below (I messed up the cheek line at first, so I'm letting it grow higher).

Beardbrand's Youtube videos have done a lot to help my confidence to decide to go ahead and grow it out, so thank you to all of the awesome Beardbrand gents!

Hi everyone, I'm Bryan and I love in Long Beach, California. I am in my 50's and have had a mustache  probably since I was born. On and off goatees and once a very short beard. Decided go for a full beard and went to Youtube for some information. Came across Beardbrand and watched tons of videos. I am nine weeks into my full beard adventure and enjoying the growth process. I am a Flight Attendant and was worried a bit about what my company would say and low and behold I got complements on my bread from management! I have not trimmed my beard yet as most advice says to wait for at least three months. I have crazy plans to fly to England and go to Poole to have Mahesh trim and shape it for the first time. Will see how that goes.

Thank you Beardbrand for all your encouragement for beadsmen everywhere!

You look great Bryan, welcome to the family. Mahesh will be in Austin for a little bit due to our CxBB party on March 14, but he will be back at the barbershop toward the end of the month. It's great your job is open to the idea of you having a beard, and even complimented you on it! Keep on growing, man. You're doing great!

    Hello Everyone!

I have lots of questions, but i'll save those for the other pages of the forums. I'm new to bearding and have managed to grow quite the beard so far. I started in November and have only trimmed the neck and the cheeks to prevent wolf like features and keep it nice and sleek looking.

I've made oh so many mistakes along the way but its finally coming along! At this point in time, Greg Berzinsky is who i've learned most of my beardology from and is where my current beard style comes from. I've thought about a beard for many years but its my wife who finally pushed me to try.

Here's a picture of my beard from a couple weeks ago, took this with my phone and touched it up a bit with Google Photos:

    Beard on!!!

EDIT: I've updated my look so i figured i'd post a new picture, im going to grow the hair out on my head longer than this:

    Andries Jansen

    Hi There,

Andries Jansen from South Africa, on my birthday 2017 I shaved everything off to give my face a break after having a beard of somesort for the past 8 years.

Since then I have only had 3 maintenance trims just to get everything back in line, my beard grows at weird rates around my face.

    I have 2 basic looks,

    1. my Lets go hibernate face

    2. My lets go out face

I have been watching a lot of the beardbrand youtube videos on grooming and on styles for thinning hair. Now I am just waiting for the video for styles with practically NO hair.

    Have a great one!

Hey everyone, mark from manchester....Some awesome beards on here!!!! Always good to get some inspiration on your ‘shave it all off days’
My big problem has always been the same, when my beard gets to a length were it needs constant styling i have no idea how to start! I try to blow dry, i really like the sea salt spray and i use a utility balm to keep my skin up to scratch, but cannot seem to tame the mess. I end up going shorter in the end and regret it the next day. See my best blue steel and If anybodies got any ideas on what will make this beard work for me im all ears and eyes. Beard on and keep up the great work beardbrand
